Power & Wake

Hold 2s Wake Up — Button turns red. Saber enters active standby mode.
Hold 10s Sleep Mode — Button light vanishes. Saber also auto-sleeps after 10 minutes of inactivity.

Blade ON Controls

These commands only work while the NeoPixel blade is ignited.

Click ×1 Ignite — Lights the NeoPixel blade using the current ignition style.
Click ×1 (blade lit) Block — Triggers a blaster block flash effect.
Hold until off Power Down — Retracts the blade.
Release @ 2 flashes Infinite Color Cycle — Blade cycles through colors. Click to lock in your selection.
Twist ↻↺ pointing down Fast Color Change — Twist hilt clockwise then anticlockwise while pointing down. Release to select.
Hold + Twist pointing up The Force — Hold button, twist quickly while pointing up. Triggers Force effect.
Twist ↻↺ either direction Motion On/Off — Toggle motion control activation via twist, stab-pull, or swing.

Blade OFF Controls

These commands work while the blade is retracted (saber awake). Button flashes indicate hold duration.

Release @ 1 flash Volume — Cycle through 3 volume levels. One flash = 0.5 seconds.
Release @ 2 flashes Light Effect — Cycle through 8 NeoPixel blade effects:
Pulse · Rainbow Blade · Candy Blade · Unstable · Crack Blade · Fire Blade · Flash Blade · Steady
Release @ 3 flashes Ignition Style — Cycle through 12 ignition styles:
Stack · FoldTile · Word · Faser · Scavenger · Hunter · Standard · Velocity · Torch · Blaster · Ghost · Broken
Release @ 4 flashes Sound Font — Change to the next sound font (34 fonts total). Countdown audio plays.
Hold 2s @ 4 flashes Previous Font — Jump back to the previous sound font.
Twist ↺↻ pointing up BGM Toggle — Turn background music on or off.
Twist ↺↻ pointing down Fast Font Change — Quick anticlockwise → clockwise twist to cycle fonts.

Motion Controls

Xenopixel V3 features a full motion-sensing system. The gestures below activate when motion control is enabled. Sensitivity and on/off state are configurable via SD card.

Blade OFF — Motion Ignition
Twist Ignition
Twist ↻ then ↺
Clockwise then anticlockwise. Works as toggle — same motion powers down.
Stab & Pull
Pull back, then thrust forward
Draw the saber — pull then stab to ignite. Reverse to retract.
Swing Ignition
Vigorous circular swing
Swing hard in a circle to ignite. Use twist or stab-pull to retract.
Blade ON — Combat Motions
Jump Color
Hold button + ↺↻ fast, then click
Hold button, twist anticlockwise then clockwise quickly. Click to fix the color.
Rotate Color
Point DOWN + hold button + rotate saber
While pointing down, hold button and rotate the whole saber. Click to lock color.
Lock-Up
Press button + clash hilt
Sustained blade contact effect — flicker and sizzle sound.
Drag Mode
Point DOWN + pierce ground
Drag effect along ground — blade flickers from tip.
Force Mode
Point UP + hold button + ↻↺ fast
Triggers Force push/pull sound and effect.
Melt Mode
Hold button + fast push forward + twist
Blade melts into surface. Twist to change melt color.
Lightning Block
Point UP + ↻↺ fast
Deflect Force lightning. Must be enabled in config file.
Multi Block
Hold button + swing
Sustained multi-hit block state. Same gesture to exit. Enable in config.
Multi Lock
Hold 0.5s until 1 flash + release
Extended lock-up mode. Same gesture to exit. Enable in config.

NeoPixel Light Effects & Blade Styles

Your NeoPixel blade supports 8 light effects and 12 ignition styles. These are stored per-font and can also be set as defaults via the SD card configuration file.

Your Xenopixel V3 controller ships with 34 pre-loaded cinematic sound fonts. Cycle through them with the button (3 flashes) or via motion control.

Configuration

Advanced settings are stored on the SD card. Remove the SD card from your saber, insert into a reader, and modify the config file in a text editor. Change "0" to "1" to enable disabled features.

Off by Default — Enable in Config
  • Velocity Velocity ignition blade style — off by default
  • Torch Torch blade style — off by default
  • Blaster Blaster blade style — off by default
  • Ghost Ghost blade style — off by default
  • LightningBlock Lightning block motion — change 0 → 1 to enable
  • MultiBlock Multi block mode — change 0 → 1 to enable
  • MultiLock Multi lock mode — change 0 → 1 to enable
  • ControlSound Button press control sounds — change 0 → 1 to enable
Adjustable Parameters
  • MainBladeLength Blade LED count — modify if not using standard 92cm NeoPixel blade
  • SideBladeLength Cross-guard / double blade side LED count
  • SideBladeDelay Side blade ignition delay (ms) — for crossguard timing
  • PowerOnTime=2000 Ignition duration in milliseconds
  • PowerOffTime=10000 Retraction duration in milliseconds
  • Preon1Time=1400 Pre-ignition effect duration (ms)
  • ChannelVolume Max 16384, default 8192
  • MixerVolume Default 1900 — do not exceed 4500 or speaker damage may occur
  • ClashSensitivity Impact detection threshold
  • TwistSensitivity Twist detection threshold (min 60)
Per-Font Color Format

Each color in the config file follows this format:
Color-1 = (R,G,B), default_effect, on_speed, off_speed, default_style
Example: (255, 0, 0), 1, 300, 800, 3 = Red, Steady, 300ms on, 800ms off, style 3.
